Class Is a Taboo Word in US Politics

This presidential campaign may offer a test of whether 'poverty' can make a comeback as a political issue.

Even the word is at issue. American politicians are fearful of using 'class politics in their campaigns. this means that the exploitation of the proletariat [working class] has to be softened and reissued as 'poverty'.

Republican candidates in the 2008 presidential race today sharply criticised George Bush for being a vote-loser, during a live televised debate.

During the two-hour debate in Manchester, New Hampshire, the third since the campaign began, the candidates were asked what job they would give Mr Bush.

"I would certainly not send him to the United Nations" to represent the US, Tommy Thompson, one of the candidates, said.

When will Israel recognize the rights of the Palestinians to exist?

The Americans have been so indoctrinated toward Israel that they cannot see what has happened to Palestine.

Imagine that you are suddenly told that your entire state is being given to the Indians and you are moved to the neighbouring state where you are herded into camps and left there with no rights at all.

If you fight back so you can work or your children can have even a glimmer of hope of a decent life you will be called a terrorist. And of course your leaders are corrupt too.   more »

According to the rhetoric of Bush Regime to "spread democracy and end despotism" can be reinterpreted as an effort to "make the world safe for capitalism".

Capitalism is NOT about "freedom and democracy", as the Establishment economist and Nobel Laureate Milton Freidman had championed in his book of the specific title Freedom and Democracy.

Capitalism is a political economic system which seeks to facilitate the materialistic ambitions and insatiable pursuit of commercial profit by "owners of capital". Capitalism is not about affirming rights of 'people' in a democracy.
