The "yellow ribbon" campaign avoids

contentious issues about war and imperialism

Anyone who speaks out is accused of

negating the 'heroism' of our troops,

and that 3,600 deaths were in vain

The slogan "Support Our Troops" has the potential

of silencing a great many people in the debate

precisely because they fear being labelled

as lacking empathy, uncaring, lacking

in compassion and, yes, even unpatriotic

Instead of Hillary’s babble and broken promises, we need to hear:

“This war was wrong – and illegal – from the beginning. The situation has only become worse since the U.S. bombing, invasion, and occupation.

"The U.S. must get out of Iraq. Bring all American combat forces, military and private, home now. And don’t abandon them once they're here.”

Hillary does not deserve election to the presidency. Instead she needs to accompany Bush and all other war criminals to an international war crimes tribunal. It is one thing to lie about one’s political positions.

It’s much more serious – and repulsive – when your lies mean hundreds or thousands more will be senselessly killed.   more »

Last week his campaign cut his Iowa staff in half, closed his Michigan office and had as much money in the bank as longshot libertarian Ron Paul. Yesterday his campaign manager, chief strategist and finance director resigned. What happened?

Instead of healing old wounds with Republican leaders he once insulted, McCain created new ones.
